I have an incredible family...

although my folks were supposed to join us this weekend, the plans changed when Lily, James, and Isabella came down with the fever/cough/cold bug that Ty had...so we went ahead with our plans today and missed Mimi and Poppy very much! We went back to Roger's Farm to go strawberry picking--this was Todd's first time and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We picked almost 8 pounds of berries and the kids had a ball.

like my new shades? they were one of my mother's day presents! I would have gotten even bigger lenses had they been polarized! Sorry Mom that I used to make fun of you for big sunglasses!

James in his favorite spot--the kitchen! The other kiddos have only been marginally interested in the kitchen set and yet James play with it every day! He is also walking now--so cute! He is VERY proud of himself when he toddles across the room :)

this is my mother's dad--George Huey (sorry for the picture quality--I snapped this from a portrait that mom has on her wall) I am trying to get as many of the old pictures digitized as possible to preserve them for my kids and many more generations...
here's my mom...isn't she cute!
this is my grandmother Ruth with George probably in the 30's?
This is Lucy and Burton Huey, George's parents (so my great grandparents)
This is my grandmother Ruth's parents around 1905 or 1906--John David Spence and Minnie Winona Spence
this is my mom and her cousins--but this picture seems greeting-card worthy to me--pretty funny when you see what they are each doing!
my mom again
this is my grandmother--it is especially meaningful because she is graduating from college here--my mom will have to fill in the details but she did this while raising my mother and working--she was an amazing lady!!
these three are my mom and her dad

my mom once again--can't you see Lily and Isabella?
and this was my mom and her grandfather
here's James during our impromptu trip to Mimi and Poppy's--Todd's great Aunt passed away and he flew to Ohio to attend the funeral...we all went to Venice for some additional help :)
Mimi and Isabella

the two of them were like stunt-babies in these chairs

that's all for now--some day I'll catch up on the events that I had promised to but I won't say when--you'll just be pleasantly surprised one day :) cheers!
