A Lot of Blog For Your Buck...

Hold on to your hats, folks, because I have posted the most pictures ever!!! The following are from our trip to visit Mimi and Poppy in Venice, Lily at gymnastics, and then our Disney weekend--June has been a crazy month!!! The twins are 16 weeks tomorrow and are both sleeping like champs at night. James no longer seems to have eczema or reflux or colic and he and Bella just smile and laugh most of the time. Lily and Ty are great--busy and sometimes grumpy, but great. Disney was fun but very crazy--there was a jump-rope convention staying at our hotel...yes, that's a real thing...no, I didn't believe it either...yes, all 457 of them were in line to eat before us on Friday... anyway, Lily and Ty did enjoy Disney World, but in their own little way. Enjoy all the photos! cheers...

fun fun fun!!!

Hey all, I am still in Venice, but we go back to Gainesville on Sunday--and I'm sad!! We've had such a good time here! But, we have a Disney trip this next week with Todd's family and our trip up to West Virginia/Maryland in July. We just can't seem to slow down!! Not that I'm complaining! Anyway, the kids have all grown up more and changed these past two weeks. James is now consistently sleeping through the night and Isabella still is as well--so I am awaking out of the stupor I've been in for about 12 weeks! James is also laughing and smiling all the time now--he's almost like a different baby since we've been here. Isabella is such a little marshmellow and so pleasant all the time--she hardly ever cries. Lily has come out of her shell a ton and has been much more daring and willing to speak to people. Ty has been a nut--acting two on most occasions, but being very cute. We've just really had fun with them. Todd returned from NYC with his family and I love having him back. Our 6 year marriage anniversary is Sunday so we're going out tomorrow night to celebrate! I will post a ton of pix when I get back. I am a bit under the weather with a nasty cold and mastitis--YUCK!!! Anyway, cheers to everyone!

Pictures soon...

Hi everyone! I am at my mom and dad's and haven't had a moment to post pictures--but I will have a ton to post when I return! I come home on Sunday so I'm sure I'll post that night. The kids are having a great time--going to Mimi's school and visiting the Yacht Club pool and Mimi and Poppy's pool too! Also, James has been sleeping through the night for the past five nights!!! Hallelujah! Cheers!

Lillianna Ballerina

Tonight was one of those nights where I stand in awe at the passage of time--Lily is now old enough to be performing in her first ballet recital! Her dress rehearsal was tonight and I had such a good time experiencing it all with her. She was excited to wear her cow costume and have her hair and make-up done. She played with Emily from her class while she was waiting and had fun peeking at the older girls performing. And then, on stage, she just looked like a little princess--I am so proud of her! Here are pix and video (only half of her dance since the memory card filled up) from tonight...enjoy! OH, and Ty went pee-pee on the potty last night for the first time! Right before bath!! Cheers!

A/C is a beautiful thing...

James's eczema... Lily in my robe...
James checking out his bouncer...
crazy-eyes margo...
Ty and his daddy...
Whoa, I have four kids!!!!!

So we're back home after our AC saga--we ended up staying 2 nights at Todd's parent's house, which was like a mini-impromptu vacation. It's amazing how much we take cold air for granted--I know I did! The weekend+ was good and things have been better with the kids. Lily seemed to sense that mount mama was gonna blow her top and she was a real sweet heart these past few days. Ty has improved a teeny bit too, but he's 2 years old so I can overlook a lot more from him. The babies had a good time in Jax and we took James to the doc today--yes, he has eczema as I had suspected, probably triggered by the introduction of rice in his bottle. He's now to be washed with white Dove soap, creamed up with his steroid cream and Lubriderm 2 times a day. But, that's totally doable if it will help him feel better. Anyway, things are better in general and I praise God for a now-working AC!!! On a Kelly-note, I can feel some of my anxiety creeping back into my psyche and I need prayers to keep it at bay--or perhaps just eradicate it entirely! I don't want to spend my life worrying!!! My time is too precious for that! Hope everyone is well--cheers!!

hot not-fun in the summertime...

our a/c is out...anyone want to trade places???? last night it warned us through a series of loud groans that it was going to retire. as i sit here at 1:15 a.m.--too hot to sleep--it is 87 degrees in this house. we have four large fans blowing on the kids and in our room, but i can't get my eyes to stay shut. i do not like to be hot. i expect we'll be going to jacksonville in the morning to stay with todd's folks and i can't wait. the day was a bit better on the kid-front--lily wasn't quite so whiny, although we still had some hollywood quality drama at times. james was the star today, though, with a 20 minute crying session after only half a bottle. we have been thickening his feeds with rice cereal for a few days to see if it would stay down in his belly and not get refluxed back up. that aspect seemed to be working somewhat, but after the bottle today he developed a rash on his chest, back, and elbows, which really looks to me like eczema. we were told to stop the rice and come in monday to have it looked at. i really would have preferred to have him seen today, but the not-thrilled-to-be-working-saturday-nurse that we talked to said they were all booked. that's all for now..
